I just
need to record this day!!!! Lots happened today!!!
We
booked and paid for our second set of plane tickets. We are now in
China!! Just arrived in Shanghai actually....how exciting!!!

We are
using STA around-the-world experts. Together with our travel
consultant we've decided to book our flights in groups, or 'legs'.
First leg will take us to USA and the second group of flights will
take us via, Hawaii and Vancouver to China. It is pretty awesome that
we can actually start to make our dreams realities!! NO TURNING BACK
NOW!!
I had a
representative from Britannia Movers here to give us a quote for
relocation to South Africa....mmm seems like all the bikes will
nicely fit into a 40ft container...eish.... Now waiting for her to
get back to us. Since we will take 5 months to reach our destination,
Cape Town...and we need to be in the country for customs to clear our
shipment, we'll need to add 3 months worth of storage on this end of
the pond. Well, so we get closer to understand how big our purse will
need to be!! Praise God for opportunities that will fund ALL of
this!!!
I've
also got some really informative websites about travelling by train
across the world. I was getting a bit worried about our plan to visit Mongolia, Ulan
Bator. We are hoping to take the train from Beijing to UB and then
fly back, but it turns out that to book train tickets in China
is....complicated!!!
The last
great thing that happened today was that I got in touch with the UK
representative of China Concern. This is an international christian
charity with the purpose to give abandoned and disabled children in
China a future. We are starting negotiations to see if we can
volunteer with them in Sanmenxia, in the Henan Province of central
China.
I'm
feeling so overwhelmed, excited and blessed today!! Our dream is in
the planning and budgeting phase BIG TIME. But is't that how God-given
dreams and visions should develop into reality. WOW!!!
The best
thing is..there is just soooo much more to come.....
Dream
